The three-wheel current collector’s DC power supply mode is adopted by all locomotive’s propulsion circuit. The current collector basically consists of collector shoe and DC fuse. In other rail transit system, Locomotive’s propulsion circuit usually adopt pantograph DC power supply mode. There is a fuse box near pantograph, in which it’s a DC fuse.
In general, the aim of that fuse is to protect person and facility from damage as a result of connecting to current collector (or pantograph), the insulation problem of propulsion circuit’s power cable, and motor fault. No fuse, it’sgong to be a serious fire.
